  1. wow we traded greg lewis? i thought he was designated "4th receiver for life", it seemed like he was always just good enough to be on the team but never good enough to make a difference.
  2. battle missed 50 of them. frazier was 3-5 and he normally sucks out there. sat 4th row from the court, atmosphere for the game was great. storming the court was a lot of fun - i never did it at holy cross because the team was God-awful and the head coach was a drunk when i was there; penn state has actually had some nice wins (like beating michigan st last year) but i haven't been at those.
  3. Okay that makes even less sense now. What did he say? it says he grew up in jersey, i'm assuming that's why he's a giants fan. and uses the term skyball.
  4. a lot of people said that about them last year too. the problem is, i don't know if they're good, really good or great. it's so hard to get a read on them every year because cusa is such a joke.
  5. what are the bad losses? temple and rhode island are both in the 40s in RPI. the worst RPI team penn state has lost to is rhode island, who's #48. they don't have any bad losses, really. georgia tech isn't that good, but they've beaten wake and miami at home, so i'd say that's a decent ooc win. otherwise it's a bunch of trash. if penn st gets in it'll be because they beat two of the top three teams in the conference on the road.
  6. xavier beat memphis and mizzou on neutral courts.... that's at least as impressive if not more so. michigan has two road games all year, and those were against northwestern and indiana. if they lose at minneosota they'll be 18-13 and below .500 in the conference. non-conference wins are nice, but they haven't done well enough in conference to get in.
  7. t.o. probably wouldn't be a bad idea for a team that needs a really good receiver for one year. but if the eagles/cowboys experiences have shown anything, it's that you bring in t.o. for one year, reap the rewards, and no matter how good he is that season, dump him after a year.
  8. correll buckhalter has headed out to denver and Lord knows that westbrook isn't likely to stay healthy for an entire season, so RB is a definite need for the eagles. i don't know that beanie wells is a great fit for a west coast offense, but he's extremely talented and will help with our 3rd/4th-and-short problems that we had last year.
  9. i'm thinking he's gonna use the time off to roid up, RIGHT?
  10. t.o. is no longer a cowboy
  11. well i was probably going to draft a certain position with the 28th pick, and assumed that the dropoff would be less than the dropoff if i let britton go... that's looking like a good choice.
  12. van benschoten is terrible. like, really terrible. he needs to be converted to outfield immediately.
  13. yeah but you still have to watch sweaty, muscular men in spandex to get to that point.
  14. plus you don't want to be a guy who slap-fights.
  15. so what you're saying is that we're trading back for sean gallagher? awesome.
  16. what is it about sweaty, muscular men in spandex that gets iowans all a'flutter?
  17. wow that is a reeeeeeaaaaally bad loss for kentucky. if they lose at florida, they might have the make the sec finals to get into the dance.
  18. All 4 of those teams would probably win the Big Ten. If you don't think UNC, Duke, UConn, Pitt, or Louisville would all win the Big Ten you're delusional. The only sport the Big Ten has a consistent shot at winning the national championship in is wrestling... ACC and Big East consistently have a shot to win in basketball... SEC and Big 12 consistently have a shot to win in football... the Big Ten has fallen by the wayside in the last 5 years in the major sports... wrestling is a major sport???
  19. miami is losing at georgia tech and bc is losing at nc st... that'd hurt both teams' bubble chances. bc may have a little more margin for error but both teams are definitely in danger of missing the tourney.
  20. the big ten doesn't stand a chance in the tournament. purdue looks terrible on a fairly regular basis... illinois held to 33 at home... purdue dominates michigan state by 19... really... i don't think anyone in the big ten would be in the top 3-4 in the acc or big east... except the Big 10 actually plays defense. Get Duke or North Carolina away from the ACC refs and see how far their flopping gets them farther than the big ten, i'm guessing
  21. i'll give this through the weekend then i'm starting the league and running it myself
