  1. Go Penn State!
  2. wait has devendorf ever beaten up a female before? the posts in this thread relating to these actions are unclear. nevermind, fortunately wikipedia sheds some light on this:
  3. I'm sure he could do at least a passable job at first. Hell, we put blanco there a couple times last year and it wasn't too big of a disaster. Third on the other hand, I have no idea. I wouldn't be worried about first either. Third is where I'd have the most concerns. If Ramirez went down for a few weeks, I'd hope Pudge could handle it. it's very unlikely that a guy who has caught his entire career could pick up third base and be adequate at it in his late 30s. he's not a good hitter any more so he'd probably end up giving you aaron miles-like offense and ryan braun-like defense. in other words it would be train wreck.
  4. I haven't seen this yet, but Richards isn't getting any benefit of the doubt from me. In other news, Detroit squashed St. Louis again today. The Blues have been right on the doorstep of a good winning streak a few times recently and have run into Detroit. Last time it was 5-0. Today, 5-2. watch the "penalties" and get back to me.
  5. the eagles had trouble putting pressure on QBs without blitzing last season, especially against arizona, and could use a defensive end who has the ability to jump out of a swimming pool, so let's go with jarron gilbert, de, san jose st. i'll pm goony.
  6. yeah why on earth would an employer fire an employee for publicly calling them [expletive]? I can't believe I a defending Eagles fans, but: Reprimand him, don't fire him. All he was doing is speaking the mind of what most if not all Eagles fans were already thinking. MO is that he didn't warrant being fired, Eagles FO is bunch of sensitive babies. McNabb basically criticize Eagles for letting Dawkins and Thomas go (even tho, Thomas is near washed up, but Dawkins still has two good yrs left in him), so shouldn't the Eagles organization fire McNabb too? mcnabb is a lot more valuable than some lackey who punches tickets. if that guy were invaluable to the organization then he'd have room to talk.
  7. it's been a long list of mediocrity because he hasn't spent any money on middle infielders. not that i want mediocre players but i'd rather have him blow $2.5M on aaron miles than big money on julio lugo or whoever. plus derosa is better than mediocre and fontenot was a good acquisition.
  8. purdue isn't even a good three point shooting team, this is insane
  9. yeah why on earth would an employer fire an employee for publicly calling them [expletive]?
  10. bradley's hitting 4th
  11. brandon dubinsky and sean avery are pusses... mike richards hit dubinsky in the shoulder with his arm/shoulder but dubinsky went down clutching his head - which wasn't touched - and got an elbowing call. then richards hit avery parallel to the boards and avery launched himself into the boards intentionally - boarding call. if the refs are going to step up enforcement to prevent head injuries then the nhl should fine players for this type of garbage.
  12. yeah hopefully the tourney committee realizes that the score is a reflection of an average-shooting team just having a night that they shot the lights out (especially from deep) and not a reflection of penn st playing poorly.
  13. temple is tied with xavier. if they win that game - where do they stand? (assuming they lose in the a-10 final)
  14. personally i just hate teams that rely really heavily on the three, so i don't like michigan for that reason only.
  15. basically bp 2009 said the royals should be competitive within the division, but they won't win it unless guys like butler and gordon make the leap toward stardom that people predicted for them.
  16. boy after watching holy cross-american, watching wake-maryland and nova-louisville is like watching a whole other sport. a sport played by people with actual athletic ability.
  17. yeah they had a guy who was knocking down threes from the parking lot. we played terribly too - apparently our forwards don't know they can take it up without double pumping 4 times and our guards don't know that they don't have to pass the ball to a guy who's on a pick and roll if he doesn't get open on the roll. oh well, american is basically graduating their entire team after this year, so they can go back to being an irrelevant school of 80% eurotrash students.
  18. I'm expecting Syracuse to sleep for at least half that. I was just thinking I might bet on whoever Cuse is playing in 20 hours. the oddsmakers will probably take this game into account. i think i'm just going to root for syracuse to lose tomorrow and then in the first round of the tourney to limit the number of "devendorf beats women" posts.
  19. someone should ask calhoun about his salary after this game, just for the hell of it.
  20. 7 overtimes and a final of 75-73? sounds like a big ten game.
  21. has syracuse had a lead in any of the overtimes?
  22. this is one of the most epic games i've ever seen. sean mcdonough is really good, but imagine if this was gus johnson and raftery? i'd be in heaven.
  23. yeah i always clicked on that to go back to the main message board... this is gonna annoy me for a little while.
  24. probably not a bad thing for the young kansas team to get a whole week to rest their legs.
