  1. I would. If the Rangers are dumb enough to do that trade, then you could send Kinsler elsewhere for a pitcher much much better than Lilly. I'd do that trade, then send Kinsler in place of Vitters in a Peavy deal not possible it's very possible. in fact, if you're a team like the padres, you'd be thrilled to death to get a low-salary proven stud hitter like kinsler in a trade for peavy.
  2. well i want to answer 5 total, but that option isn't available in this poll, so i can't vote.
  3. ryan theriot and adam everett hit grand slams on back to back days... i did not see that one coming.
  4. Please tell me it was someone from here. it may well have been. there are 4 guys i know are from GRB and it wasn't any of them, so it was either the 5th guy from there or it was an NSBB person. anyway doumit was hurt and i was plugging the leak with yadier molina, but when i saw soto was dropped i picked him up and dumped molina.
  5. i love that someone in the cubs vs cards fantasy league released soto after like 40 ABs.
  6. if 4 K's in 4 ABs is a golden sombrero, what is 4 BB's in 4 ABs?
  7. Wait, what? That should say "caught stealing"!!!! I know Ryan Theriot, he never successfully steals bases!! he also never hits home runs.
  8. tyler greene just made a redonkulous play for the cardinals :x
  9. get help, meph.
  10. that's great aaron, now how about you start getting hits when runners are on base?
  11. well, at least we got one and forced sanchez to throw 30 pitches.
  12. attaboy demp, these guys suck so pound that strike zone.
  13. this isn't 2009 related, but i'm sure as hell not going to create a 2010 recruiting thread. penn st got some good commitments recently for the 2010 recruiting class, and they had a lot of really good prospects at the state college nike training camp this weekend. the commitments so far: paul jones, qb (5* on scout and 4* on rivals, #3 QB on scout) mike hull, ilb (4* on both sites, #2 ILB on scout) adrian coxson, wr (4* on both sites, #14 WR on scout) silas redd, rb (4* on both sites, #21 RB on scout) luke graham, og (3* on scout, #9 OG) usually our early commits are not all that impressive so this is pretty exciting. they seem to be capitalizing on the good year they had in 2008 and there seems to be a lot of talent in the northeast this class.
  14. purdue sucks. 2012-13 we have a home and home with virginia, and then 2014-15 we have one with rutgers. i'd prefer that they pick teams who would actually be reliably good, not two teams that might turn out to be bad (like syracuse this year).

  16. thomas has his 5th homer for tenn and ty wright has doubled twice, they're up 3-2 in the first game.
  17. Yeah, I was looking at his career minor league numbers and I don't get why he hasn't even had a cup of coffee at some point. The guy hits 275-300 and has some pop in his bat. Looks almost like Theriot minor league numbers with a bit more power and a little less speed, but he just never got a chance. He might actually be able to do something. if he could play shortstop he'd have been given a shot at a utility role, a la jeff keppinger, but since he's 2B/3B/OF he's basically a guy who doesn't have enough power to stick in the bigs. hopefully he will get a pinch hit or something, i'd like to see him rewarded since he's been farting around the minors for 10 years without a single call up.
  18. (a) who dropped soto? (b) i had doumit and he got hurt, so thank you.
