  1. Done. i meant after this week, since hamilton is hitting a lot of home runs now.
  2. sorry, i know you were really hoping to see someone hurt crosby.
  3. should be bases loaded, one out if not for that bad strike call on fukudome.
  4. didn't know you were down at ice level checking for blood. that's some inside info.
  5. not a strike. chris young might be the most extreme fly ball pitcher in the game, this is a really bad night to have him on the mound.
  6. someone start stalling the game. throw over to first even if nobody's over there.
  7. at this point hendry could take a dump in a bag and get better value for that than he would for lee.
  8. well the game would be tied now if lee and bradley hadn't crapped the bed.
  9. bradley has been God-awful in RBI situations this year.
  10. drop hamilton, add longoria, pray for health.
  11. bingo. actually, the hawks are probably a decent analogy for the flyers. toews is mike richards, a two-way center and the team leader. richards got a 12 year, $69M deal last offseason. jeff carter and pat kane are fairly similar, though carter is better defensively and is bigger, but probably doesn't have the overall offensive game of kane. carter got 3 years and $15M, but that was before he busted out as a goal scorer this year. in addition to those guys, the flyers also have a high paid defenseman (timonen), danny briere's (albatross) contract and a couple of other fairly sizable deals in hartnell, lupul and gagne. sharp is roughly similar to hartnell, campbell is timonen, but the hawks don't have the lupul/gagne contracts. the hawks are overall in better shape financially so if the flyers can make it work, i'm sure the hawks can as well.
  12. J.D. Simpson? sounds a little too much like another football player.
  13. sure they do, it's hockey. but khabi is going to have to be great.
  14. amazing, all it took was dolla bill wirtz dying to make the blackhawks good again.
  15. nice D caps. you're trying to protect a one goal lead and you leave sidney crosby wide open in front of the net, great play.
  16. I hope you didn't follow TT's advice. Upton has been playing pretty well lately. I'd drop Cameron, FWIW, he can be a liability in some categories. yeah i dropped cameron. upton is hot and has a lot of potential, and hudson is good insurance at 2B (plus he's pretty good).
  17. yeah it mentioned something about the cubs hitting better at home than on the road, and they have a homestand coming up, so you'll want him in your lineup this week.
  18. well, bobby scales is doing okay. if he can get on base and knock a few doubles, he's a decent stop gap. i guess it depends how long ARam is going to be out. if it's until the ASB, they can probably get by with scales, fontenot, miles and freel. if it's most of the year, then they need to do something.
  19. one-pitch rich for norfolk today: 6 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 3 BB, 7 K. 95 pitches and 60 strikes. i'm still rooting for him.
