  1. lebron needs a better #2. also i'm not sure that ilgauskas can defend a rock at this stage of his career.
  2. the people in your league are idiots. scherzer i can understand being available, but wieters and price? come on.
  3. how soon you forget my disdain for havlat.
  4. he would be your favorite player if he was a Hawk. :) No... he's a punk cheap shot artist... hate those kind of players no matter what. I believe you are incorrect. he's certainly incorrect about hating punk cheap shot artists no matter what.
  5. well there's a generous no-call
  6. vitters is 1-3 with a 2-run double, 2 K's, walk and HBP. peoria scored two in the top of the 9th to tie it, but in cub fashion, failed to get another run home with the bases loaded and 1 out. junior lake has 3 singles in 5 ABs. samardzija threw a "complete game": 7 IP, 6 H, 2 ER, 3 BB, 3 K, 9 GO/9 FO. robinson was 3-4 (all singles). in the second game, cotts gave up 2 walks, 1 hit and 1 ER in his inning of work. keep up the good work, neal! tennessee lost 10-7. guyer was 2-5 with a double, wright 2-4, smith 2-5 with a double, castillo 3-4 with a home run. lambert got drilled. daytona won 3-2, castro was 1-4 with a double. dolis had a solid outing, 5 IP, 4 H, 1 ER, 0 BB, 3 K, 7 GO/5 FO.
  7. wieters tripled on a 95 mph verlander fastball and hit a ground rule double on a 99 mph verlander fastball, but also struck out and then grounded out on a 100 mph zumaya heater. from gameday, verlander hit 100-101 mph four times and zumaya did it on 10 of his 12 pitches; the two that didn't hit 100 were breaking balls.
  8. the cardinals continue their extraordinary luck in missing other teams' aces (santana, haren, hamels) by missing tim lincecum in this series.
  9. carpenter sucked - 5 IP, 6 H, 4 ER, 5 BB, 2 K.
  10. except that there's a salary cap and they still manage to be better than everybody.
  11. name the two 2B with 25+ home runs in 4 consecutive seasons.
  12. who doesn't love mccarver's vignettes from 150 years ago?
  13. david price has 10 K's in 5 IP for the devil rays
  14. oh good, joe got his 2006 cardinals world series mention in this game.
  15. hopefully this is fontenot coming out of his funk.
  16. He took off on his own because he thought the ball got away from Martin. let's just blame lou for everything.
