I wonder now too if what the Illiniboard swears about Kansas is also true? Your logic is impeccable. You're completely right there is no way that Kansas could be involved in any wrong doing. yeah that's not at all what he said.

    i'm not saying it should be this game, but hopefully carpenter will start in the next 2-3 days rather than wait an entire turn after throwing just an inning yesterday.

    when has hendry severely overpaid in a trade? i've got one in like 6 years of him being a GM, juan pierre. in trades for good major league players, hendry has actually not paid all that much (nomar, lee, ramirez, harden).

    maybe, but it's easier to start at home and not having to worry about traveling - you can just go and start getting settled in at your new "home." plus it's easier for the big club to help arrange for lodging and tickets for relatives and close friends who are coming to watch the debut.

    BA listed mcdaniel a sleeper in the 2009 handbook. still, he wasn't listed among the cubs' top 30 prospects, and there are 30 organizations, so you're talking about nearly 1000 minor leaguers that they evaluated as being better than mcdaniel. if you want info on guys like that, it's more likely to come from a cub-specific newsletter or website than BA, who covers college, high school and minor league baseball.

    cotts needs to go and so does patton. those are two guys who contribute absolutely nothing to the quality of the team. it's embarrassing that we gave away mike wuertz for peanuts but have those two losers in the bullpen.

    well he would throw strikes. unfortunately many of these strikes would end up in the gaps or over the fence.

    they're on a homestand now; if they don't call him up this week then they probably won't do it until june 8th - they have a west coast road trip next week.
