    it's the 4th inning. if you PH it has to be theriot; you can't PH with fox and then put theriot at SS. you'll already be down two position players.

    kinda wish fontenot had gone with the ground ball in the hole in the 2nd inning and line drive right at someone in the 4th.

    You could use logic like that with any 3 cubs players in the lineup. That is why we will not score today. well next up is fukudome, lee and hoffpauir, who are all hitting fairly well, so i'd say it would be pretty bad logic to assume no offense from them.

    blanco cannot hit for beans. everyone knew hill and blanco were gonna screw us; fontenot's out without getting a run home was just bad luck.

    elvis andrus is hitting better than i thought he would, but of course he is getting the usual help from his home ballpark. not on the subject of rookies, but justin upton and adam jones are turning into really damn good players.

    I want you to prove that rotation is mediocre. You've said it repeatedly, you are wrong, and I'd like for you to produce some sort of evidence that Zambrano, Harden, Lilly, Marquis, Marshall is a mediocre rotation. it probably isn't, but in light of the health issues of zambrano and harden, you're leaving yourself quite thin in terms of front line pitching when they suffer their (somewhat) inevitable injuries.

    Branyan is a glorified Rob Deer. which is still plenty better than mike fontenot at 3B.

    A horrible deal that isn't getting enough attention. Dempster was a nice story last year and did a nice job but there was no way in hell he was going to repeat that (especially 4 more times)! That thing is an albatross of Chan Ho Park proportions. not even close.

    Nah way man... apparently the only way you're the best player is if you win championships... screw your physical dominance and utterly amazing skill. Uh yeah, give me an example of someone considered one of the best players of all time that hasn't won a championship elgin baylor. what do i win?

    so is the bottom of it. if soriano dips below .250 the cubs will have two regulars - theriot and soriano - hitting above .250. that's atrocious.
