twins definitely need the pitching.

the pirates spent a lot of money in the draft last year, including some later-round picks, and they're supposedly leading for miguel sano on the int'l free agent market, which would be about $3M. if they didn't feel that there was an elite talent at #4, it probably makes sense to spend less there and then sink more money into later picks and on the int'l market.

That's been the talk at all the Mizzou baseball games this year amongst the Royals fans. They've been hoping for it. crow can't ask for much more than slot... he doesn't have much leverage any more.

Someone has more faith in the Magic than I. I think it actually follows the same format as last year. Orlando will win Games 3 and 5, the Lakers will win Game 4, then go back to LA and win in Game 6, just like what the Celtics did last year. either way, it's boring. once the magic lose at home the series is over.
