  1. Day game after a night game means forfeit lineup. like it matters. most of our legitimate hitters are already forfeiting so their replacements can't do much worse.
  2. fortunately this offense is putting up runs like crazy so we can definitely afford to keep non-factors like scales, miles and blanco as infield depth while farming out a legitimate hitter like fox.
  3. i want him to either get hurt or start hitting. except for early in his career he's hit when he's been healthy; it's pissing me off that he's getting hurt AND not hitting when he is healthy. then again, this seems to be the year when everyone underachieves on offense so maybe he's just trying to fit in.

  5. i think the cubs' starting pitching is 15 games over .500, the bullpen 5 games under and the offense 8 games under.
  6. let's make the zone even smaller now and end it on a walk.
  7. it's ok umps, just 1-1 in the 9th inning, great time to start changing the strike zone and blowing calls on whether the batter swings.
  8. how much to kick their TV announcers in the balls? I think we could get a collection up for that.
  9. i wish some people on this offense would play up to their abilities. i know ARam is out but this is ridiculous.
  10. sometimes i think that too, and then alfonso soriano comes up to the plate.
  11. great outing Z, sorry the offense sucks and can't get hits when their teammates are on base.
  12. i'm glad we're getting the least-healthy, least-productive year of milton's career.
  13. too bad, that was soriano's one hard-hit non-home-run ball for the week.
  14. another SP about to get saddled with another undeserved L/ND
  15. decent outing for carpenter... 6 IP, 5 H, 3 R, 2 ER, 3 BB, 5 K. vitters is 0-3 and down to a .327 BA.
  16. i think there was like 1 person on this board who wasn't completely against the idea of signing ibanez.
  17. i knew he was fragile but come on, he was never this bad.
