  1. kirk has been great in his boise debut - 3 IP, 0 H, 1 BB, 3 K. mcnutt was fairly wild as usual but also was pretty effective.
  2. and shooting arrows through apartment walls. you've gotta do SOMETHING with your time when you aren't allowed to have a job wish our boosters would just give them all escalades to cruise around in so they could stay out of trouble.
  3. You don't like the move? What are you seeing in Geo this year that warrants him getting the bulk of the playing time? what are you seeing in koyie hill's entire playing career that warrants him getting the bulk of the playing time?
  4. that's a lie. they were singing it on the drive home.
  5. This. I don't think I'd be able to watch games with LaRussa as manager knowing he's going to overthink and overplay late inning pitching/hitting matchup situations, more than one runner on base situations, guy on third with less than 2 out situations, etc. yeah fortunately lou doesn't do things like that.
  6. revere is a weird player... great contact skills and speed but doesn't walk much (not that it matters, with his lack of power most of those walks would evaporate in the big leagues) and no power (the doubles/triples come from grounders down the line and a few balls he slashes into the gaps). if he plays like florida juan pierre then cool; if he plays like cubs juan pierre then yuck.
  7. can't you upgrade at WR? harvin seems like a piss-poor #2 in an 8 team league.
  8. Carpenter pitched a total of 21 innings in 2007 and 2008 combined. agreed, so what are the odds that he'd stay healthy for the vast majority of this year and pitch at a cy young level? pretty damn small.
  9. frankly i don't really believe that any major college football program stays within the 20 hour limit during the fall semester, though maybe most don't exceed it as badly as dick rod's team did.
  10. we'd probably be so dumb that the best pitching coach in baseball would be on the market and we'd stay loyal to larry rothschild without looking into duncan first.
  11. Sorry if the thread title offends, you. or you could just get over yourself. or not. its your choice. Never happen. The one thing that is a constant on this board are the attack poodles that come to the defense of Soriano and Bradley to no end. Let them bring it. uh wouldn't the attacking be done by people saying soriano and bradley are terrible?
  12. michigan cheats
  13. west tenn won so the smokies are still tied with them; another team is two games back.
  14. Nothing is worse than Bradley. He's worse than Jimmy Carter. History's greatest monster. Adolph Hitler says hi. adolf
  15. castro has 2 singles in 3 AB and also a walk and SB. colvin has tripled, homered and knocked in four.
  16. burke is blowing up... 2-3 with a triple, homer and 6 RBI.
  17. I'd wait until they can beat some good teams. like the nationals?
  18. i'd rather be a detroit lions fan than a raiders fan, i crap you not.
  19. oh we're still doing the cubs n clippers thing?
  20. i hope punters just start knocking 10 in a row off that video screen. 10 do-overs... should be fun.
  21. all i care about them is losing at least 3 games in their first playoff series or at least four in the next one.
  22. i'm pretty sure that's either not allowed or very frowned upon. if you call a guy up that's different, but that would be pretty cheap to send a bunch of guys down one or more levels to help a playoff push or improve a team for the playoffs.
  23. peoria's pitching tonight: bristow: 2.0 IP, 4 H, 3 R, 4 BB, 2 K beliveau: 4.0 IP, 5 H, 1 R, 0 BB, 4 K hamren: 2.0 IP, 5 H, 4 R, 2 BB, 0 K beliveau got the loss... further evidence that wins and losses are pretty pointless for pitchers.
  24. only the cards 5th one-run win in their last 11 games.
