Don't know... maybe they want to get this over with so they can focus on other things at the winter meetings.

 

If this is true, though, I'm going to be bummed. Overpaying for Furcal is one thing, but to settle for Pierre for CF when there appear to be better/cheaper options available will really disappoint me. (Giving Furcal eight figures per will too, but I've become rather desensitized to that idea over the past few weeks.)
