No, but I hope they do. I can't stand it how the old Dolphins players pop a bottle of champagne whenever the last unbeaten goes down. I don't know why, but for some reason it bothers me.

I don't think they'll go undefeated either. Dungy says he won't play his good players the final 2 weeks if they don't have to. I would think they'll probably lose one of those games.

Is the question for 16-0 or 19-0?

Do you consider 18-1 undefeated?

Then no. There's a significant chance they can go 16-0, but I still think that Cincy, Chicago or Carolina can potentially beat them in a playoff matchup.

I highly doubt Chicago could beat them.

If they came to play like they did against my Panthers they could beat just about anybody.

I hate that as well, but I would hate the Colts going undefeated just as much, especially since I am moving to Indy in a few weeks. It's bad enough hearing about it in Ft Wayne, I can't imagine what it is like down there.

Adam, I'd venture that at least 40 percent of Ball State is Colts fans, it's been pretty bad down here. Plus, two of my good friends from home are Colts fans and rag on me every week about how "bad" Carolina is at 8-3.

Thanks for the respect, ND. :D

I said yes, but only because I bet my friend they would when they were 6-0. It's unlikely, but I'd love to see it happen.

Ummm...Guys the Colts will lose 2 games. They will lose to SD and then Lose again on Christmas Eve to Seattle. No One can beat the Seahawks at home! Besides, after they lose to the chargers, it will be like a preseason game (likely for both teams) and the Seahawks have more to win.

* - if they miss three FGs or are an absolutely terrible team

Or have 2 TD's called their way when they are clearly not TD's and then miss 3 FG or throw a last minute interception.

I think they'll go 15-1 or 14-2 in the regular season. I also think they'll win the Super Bowl. My three favorite teams (in order) are the Bears, Colts, and Panthers. I like the chances of seeing one or two of my teams playing in February. :D

Interestingly, my main competition this year in fantasy football (he's first and I'm second out of 16 teams) has Peyton Manning as his quarterback (my quarterback is Eli Manning). If we play each other for the championship, which is in week 17, I may have a huge advantage if Dungy does rest Manning (or more likely give him a one series cameo appearance, like last year, to extend his games played streak).

I haven't seen a team that could beat the Colts.

MAYBE the Chargers.

But I'd place those odds at maybe 20 percent or so.

This Colts team is simply ridiculous.

Ever since I moved to Charleston 5 years ago I started watching Colts games and became a fan. I'm still a Bears fan first and foremost, but the Colts are a close second to me now.

I'm hoping for a Colts v. Bears Super Bowl, though I'd feel really bad rooting against the Colts.

And I think if they can beat the Chargers they'll come out of the season undefeated.

Why this doubting the Colts and the unbelievable love for the Chargers here? You know, that 7-4 team? Sorry, but the Colts far outclass the Chargers. Not even close. LT's great, and Brees is solid, but the Chargers just can't keep up. In terms of the toughest games for the Colts, I'd say they are past -- they were Cincinnati and Pittsuburgh. For the games left, it's Seattle and maybe Jacksonville. The Seahawks are a good team. Jacksonville, at home, is a tough team, though with Leftwich out that makes things interesting.

The Colts have Tennessee, at Jacksonville, San Diego, at Seattle and Arizona left to play. They won't lose at home, in the dome. So that leaves Jacksonville and Seattle to stop them.

I'm not expecting them to lose to the Chargers. It's Jacksonville and/or Seattle I think they could lose to, since both of those games are on the road. I consider Tennessee and Arizona to be almost certain wins, and San Diego a probable win.

I agree. I love my Bears, but we likely wouldn't beat them.

We could probably hold them to 14-17 points. However, I'm afraid that if we did do that, theres a good chance that we only put up one score or so. It is the NFL though, no game is a guarantee. And the Bears have a chance if their D steps up REAL big.

thing is, any team could beat any other team. Just takes a few lucky bounces that turn into turnovers. Point is, I won't entertain the thought that team A CAN'T beat team B

Something to mention about the Colts is that their defense is competing with the Steelers for tops in the AFC. They're solid all around, and I don't think resting Manning, Harrison, etc will automatically spell defeat for them. I also wouldn't be surprised to see them play a full quarter or two in their lame duck games at the end of the season. I think Cincy and Seattle pose moderate threats to them, but I think it will happen.
