that's a lot of crowd noise for a yard.

Oh great, the announcers made the 37 possessions without a td announcement, there goes that streak

Not necessarily; they mentioned it when it was at 33.

but it's 37. In a row.

Good win but we stole one there. They exposed our CBs and were making a run. If their kicker didn't miss it I wouldn't like our chances. Either way this win was huge for us especially considering the Vikings won. I would like to see Grossman out there but that's my opinion.

I still maintain the Bears are the worst 1st-place team in the NFL. Grossman moves up the depth chart next week to #2. If Orton doesn't have a good 1st half against GB, I could see a change coming.

You say this after the bears beat 2 first place teams in a row, one on the road?

I still don't think they'll make a QB change at least until they lose one, but I also am not as opposed to it as I was. Orton is not accurate past 15 yards like Careless has pointed out.

My thought exactly.

Other than last week, they've all been pretty ugly, no? :D

It doesn't help that they didn't really throw one deep ball all game. When the defense can key in on a 15-20 yard bubble it's probably harder to be accurate.

Look at Simms for instance. Granted he is known to have on of the best long balls as it is but he bring a lot more to the table than Orton and he has played less games than him. I would have like to have seen a little from Orton today but man he cannot connect with the long ball at least Grossman can do that. I understand though it's hard to bring in another QB especially considering the amazing streak they have but come next year don't be surprised if Grossman wins it outright.

He threw 2 over 25 yards. one of them was at least 30.

The interception was a reasonably deep pass....30 yards or so.

Orton isn't ready yet. I am not sure he ever will be ready. Plenty of teams have backups who would be starting over him.

A lot of teams win ugly in this league the Bears arent the only ones. Just because its close and they made some plays doesnt mean its ugly anyways. The defense is tremendous. Id much rather have a dominating defense or offense than both an average offense and defense in this league. Tampa Bay has a very good defense and the Bears still had some success running the ball when tampa KNEW they were going to run the ball.

Im impressed with this win.

And it was also a stupid route and a bad play by Gage.

I would *love* to see them run a post pattern just once. Or maybe a couple crossing routes downfield, but Turner obviously has no faith in Orton.

If they are going to play Grossman, then that decision has to be made early in the week so he can practice an entire week. I'm not keen on counting on a guy who hasn't played an NFL game in 14 months to come in off the bench and produce.
