As a die hard cub fan i have lived in agony during this month. Watched teams i dislike win, watching bandwagon fans get what they didn't deserve and most of all having a total feeling of emptiness about the sport i love. However REJOYCE!! it is all over the Sox will be forgotten quicker than the crap i watched on tv 2 days ago, we have hope again for next year and most of all this has re-enforced my love for the cubs and my desire to see them win a WS. It will happen i believe and each month the fund in my bank keeps getting bigger for my trip to chicago to watch us lift that championship. I cant wait to be stood outside the cubbie bear beer in hand celebrating with REAL baseball fans who love the sport and their team not people who even when winners are as classless as that Lot.

I couldn't agree with you more, Sox fan bashing aside. As of today 2005 is finished and the quest for 2006 begins anew. All teams equal.

If you live in Oak Park/River Forest like I do, the sound you heard was fireworks and cheering Sox fans.

Yes, I was awakened last night by fireworks that continued for some thirty minutes.

I am envious.

If your car is on blocks and your house is on wheels...you might be a White Sox fan...

Could we please stop ripping on Sox fans for socioeconomic reasons??? I find your post elitist, classist, and racist. Quite frankly, these comments make me embarrassed to be a Cubs fan, and even make rooting for my hometown Rockies seem more appealing. Please beware that you're turning off other fans from the team we all love...

Thanks.

Would you stop being oversensitive? It's is trash-talking, plain and simple. We call them rednecks/trailer park, etc, etc, b/c of the side of Chicago there from, they call us pansy/gays because of the area of Chicago the Cubs are. It's trash-talking. Plz, it you don't like trash-talking (and no it isn't "elitst", "racists", etc, etc) then stay out of the kitchen.

Just a joke, sorry to offend. I understand someone seeing that post as elitist, but racist? I dunno...
