Little Caesars is cheap and crappy. Giordano's is crappy and more expensive then Caesars.

I wish you guys could have experienced Little Caesar's back in the 60's. It was very good back then.

They'll have another pizza feed when they're pimping the '06 handbook, it depends at which Borders they decide to go to. You'll probably see Rany, Will Carroll, and the twitchy Nate Silver.

I'm a native Chicagoan displaced to NY for the past 12 years, and I have to say, the Pizza is one of the things I miss most about Chicago. The sports teams and the pizza. I could really do without the chi-town weather, but the pizza- it's making me hungry just thinking about it. But all I have is the NY style reheated cardboard pizza. I could totally understand taking the pizza on the plane, having it Fed-ex'ed, etc. You just can't get Chicago pizza anywhere else in the country. Chicagoans are lucky.

And I'm not talking about the deep dish- I can get that at Uno's. It's the thin crust that that's cut into squares with the cheese browned on the top. Giordano's is good stuff, but the pizza is similar at a lot of places. .

I can't believe the Little Caesar's and Domino's comparisons.

I miss deep-dish pizza, I'll admit it. However, in just a sense of overall quality, I have to admit New York has better pizza. You would be suprised how fanstastic a cracker thin crust can taste when it is baked in a coal oven. My favorite pizza back in Chicago was Malnati's. Speaking of which, does anyone know anything about getting Malnati's air delivered?

Ugh, Uno's outside of Chicago is absolutely terrible. There's one here in Madison and I refuse to go in there and waste my money on what I know will be a subpar attempt at a Chicago classic. It's odd considering that I don't mind Uno's and Due's in Chicago. They're not that bad.

And also, people, people, Giordano's does not make deep dish pizza. They make stuffed pizza; there is a difference. Deep dish pizza just has the crust, cheese, and sauce topping it all. Stuffed pizza has a small layer of dough over the cheese, which is then covered with the sauce.

Giordano's does not make good thin crust pizza (imo), but their stuffed pizza is a personal favorite. The outer layer of the crust is dry and occasionally burnt, but the inner part of the crust is always moist and delicious.

If you want good deep dish, it's all about Lou Malnati's. I hate getting pepperoni pizza from anywhere except when it's homemade or when it's at Malnati's. Moist, cheesy, and really darn tasty.

Crap, now I'm homesick for pizza.
