Pujols will still get the gold glove. Nice play by D Lee

I know the voters are bad but that would be inexcusable. That would be like giving the Gold Glove to Rafael Palmeiro when he was a DH. Oh wait...

This is got to be the perfect conclusion to the season. Runners on 2nd and 3rd with 2 outs in the 9th. Cubs down by 2 and Macias up to bat.

And the Cubs season comes to an end at the hands of the Gremlin. How absolutely fitting. Thank God it's over.

I wonder if it bothers this organization at all that the Cubs have witnessed two playoff-clinching celebrations.

Probably not. They're still counting the money from those 3 million people that walked through the gates this year.

I love the ending to our season. Not only was this season a disaster, but we got to watch both the Cardinals and Astros celebrate clinching playoff bearths at our expense

that really is fitting that macias was the last batter of the season...

Hopefully, the last at-bat of his Cub career.

Not if Dusty has anything to say about it. Pray that he doesnt.

I feel bad for the Phillies.

If I were a fan of an NL team and I had to count on the Cubs to win to better my playoff chances, I think I'd just pack it in because it ain't happening.

Who the hell hangs a "back-to-back Wild Card Champs" banner?

As pathetic as we are, I can't see the organization making that big a deal of it if were we in the same spot.

Why 3 million people wanted to watch this disaster I'll never know.

If he's in a Cub uniform next year, I won't even bother paying attention to this team.

Considering the Astros have an even more pathetic playoff history than the Cubs, I can't say I'm all that surprised.
