If the writer is writing for purposes of fantasy sports, then that assertion certainly is true. Fantasy sports players could care less of why a player they selected didn't perform. However, in the real sports arena, those rules rarely apply.

This probably belongs in the fantasy forum, but I think a reasonable argument could be made that Nomar, Corey and Kerry were the biggest busts for the Cubs this season regardless of fantasy output.

Yes you can, and I agree that all 3 have been busts for us this year. There's no excuse.

All spent lots of time on the DL this season. In my eyes, being hurt is much different than not performing.
