Debut: May 14, 1998

Final Game: September 27, 1998

 

As we know, thats wrong!!!!!

But they should know McClain was succeeding in the minors and not put down a "final game"

But then he went to Japan, didn't he? Maybe they thought he was done in the majors. Anyway, he was out for many years, and they probably thought he was done, so they put in that "final game" stat.

 

I wouldn't say it was so much a "lie" as it was just being wrong.

He went to japan and failed miserably. Had a sub 600 ops, if I'm remembering correctly.
