i think every one is looking at other guys for our next years out field as a declining and old brian giles, but how about jason bay? he has great power, hes good defensively, he can run, and hes young. yes the pirates will ask alot but its worth the shot. i think hell be one of the best one day. what do you guys think

I like his potential, but I think there's zero chance of him going to anyone, let alone the Cubs.

 

Giles seems to be the best fit for the Cubs at this point.

I can't think of any reason the Pirates would trade Bay. If we're going this route, we might as well speculate on trading for Miguel Cabrera, Joe Mauer, and David Wright too.

Sounds like the start of a good team. But you're missing Pujols at 1st, Utley at 2nd, Upton at SS and Franceour or someone in CF. ;)

Sounds like the start of a good team. But you're missing Pujols at 1st, Utley at 2nd, Upton at SS and Franceour or someone in CF. ;)

And we could also consider batting him 9th when Big Z takes the hill. :D

why dont we try developing our own players instead of speculating on others. Jason Bay is another player the Cubs probably would have thrown on the scrap heap because he wasnt very good when he first came up as a rookie.
