Hendry said that we really wanted one of those guys who was drafted in 2004 and came highly recommended from one of our top scouts. I think it was Blackford.

I trust the Braves' talent assessments a thousand times more the Cubs'. If the Braves let this guy go so cheaply how good could he be?

We got Todd Blackford and Angelo Burroughs??

Burrows. He is a converted outfielder, and only started pitching last year, which is why he's 25 and only at A ball this year. He's put up pretty good numbers in the pen at low and high A this year.

Blackford is a 20 year old starter that has posted decent numbers in rookie ball this year, he was a 13th rounder last year.

How about some of our minor league experts here ?? Anybody know anything about these 2 guys ?

BA didn't have anything stuff-wise, so all I can go by are their numbers. Numbers to follow.

I don't know anything about them and I'm still sure they suck.

High A: 20 IP, 3.15 ERA, 9.9 K/9, 2.2/1 K/BB, 1.20 WHIP, .192 BAA

Blackford, 20 year old starter:

Rookie: 59.2 IP, 3.17 ERA, 4.52 K/9, 1.36/1 K/BB, 1.17 WHIP, .219 BAA

getting pitchers from the braves is never a good sign, but hey, i would have taken a bag of baseballs for hollandsworth, considering murton will hopefully start the majority of the games in september now. if he platoons with macias, i'm not going to be happy.

The numbers look decent, but I'm inclined to trust Braves' scouting more.

I am of the opinion that we should release Macias right now and stock up with kids on our roster. Baker would kill himself if he cant user any veterans hahaha.
