Will Sosa play next season? If so, who will sign him? What kind of deal do you anticiapte him getting?

If someone were to offer him a contract, I can't see how he wouldn't play next year. With that being said though, I would think his options will be quite limited. I can't see him getting more than a $2MM 1 year deal with possible incentives built in, from a bottom feeding AL team looking for a gate attraction.

Hello TB......KC....

Sammy is also currently 12 HR shy of 600, and I would guess he wants to probably to get a shot of getting into the 600 Club.

Got to give Todd  Jones his props.

In the end, good guys finish ahead of jerks

Baseball has a funny way of weeding out guys. If you're a good player and you're a jerk, it's like all of baseball makes a mental note of the fact that you're a jerk. The minute your skills diminish, you're done -- whether you're a cleanup hitter, a front-line starter or a premier closer. You're not allowed to go from ace to fifth starter or everyday player to bench guy or closer to long man. General managers won't let you near their prospects because they don't want you to poison the future.

Oh... well, he has no reason to worry. I'm sure there is a big market for egotistical, .220 hitters who can't field and spend a large chunk of the season on the DL.

Well it's the results of one of two things:

1) post- steroid era?

or

2) just the natural decline of someone his age?

Nevertheless, I wouldn't be suprised if he retires.

I don't think the Rockies will sign him....they have a young team that is attempting to win next year or the year after. They won't want him
