Are you seriously comparing the Wrigley fans chanting "Hawkins Sucks" with fans cheering for a player's potentially life-threatening injury?

Speechless. I'm simply speechless.

It was an illustration of how classless fans are. Justified or not, going after Hawkins like that was wrong and unethical.

The two situations are so utterly incomparable that your point -- whatever it was -- was lost. There's simply no comparison. And, I think it's disgusting that you would even compare the two.

Perhaps it wasn't the best comparison, but calling it disgusting is a bit of an overreaction, IMO.

Well, that's funny. Because that's exactly what I think about all of the self-righteous posters who are feigning indignation at the treatment of Hawkins.

Lay off the personal attacks. Those won't be tolerated.

I don't mind having a spirited discussion on ethics and proper actions fans can take, but the moment you drop insults is the moment I stop taking anything you say seriously.

I'm not feigning anything. I was shaking my head the whole time and did not find it the least bit amusing or satisfying. It was inappropriate. And I'm glad you are such a great judge of sincerity.

So, being the masochist I am... how's this scenario??

Cubs allow the game to start at 10p, for whatever reason, it goes 3+ hours AND goes to at least 12 innings in extras.

Who feels like staying up past 2am(CST) tonight!?

Oh boy (we're ALMOST there). I was just fooling around ~4 hours ago when I said that. Honest.

Well, I guess this is what I get for trying to be a funny man.

Well you better hope that the Cubs win it. ;)

Ok, time to go hypothetical again... how long would the umps let this go if its not decided in the next hour? Would they postpone it if still going on at 2:30-3a and finish it later today? Or just play it out and delay the start of today's game for a couple hours (3:20 start instead of 1:20)? Edited by CubsHawks25

I don't think Cubs fans give Rusch enough credit.

Up late I see. ;)

Glendon has owned the Cardinals in the past and basically was a major reason the Cubs were afloat until the last two weeks of September last season.

He gets PLENTY of credit in my book! :D

You got me, Outshined! Not to mention, his versatility for you guys. He really has done whatever has been needed.
