I would like to know if anyone was paying attention today after the game had just ended there was a closeup of Dusty and Hairtson talking to each other while walking of the field and it sounded like Dusty said something about going to Washington. Dont want to start anything here just want to know if anyone noticed it or heard it like I did. He could have been talking about the Wild Card also. Edited by WildcatCubby

You should change the title of your post. It makes it sound like he got traded.

why would we send our only CF to Washington?

Unless they're sending Wilkerson straight up for him. :D

The Cubs would still have Macias who could play CF and leadoff. :pukel:

Yeah I'm thinking someone needs to edit that title.

They were talking, but I think that's quite a reach. I definitely couldn't hear anything and it was tough to read his lips.

Musta been something else. Washington doesn't need a 2B or an OF since they just acquired Preston Wilson. I don't see how Junior would fit on their team.

Ya, I heard it too. Something about Washington but who knows exactly what was said.

Welcome!

How did you "hear" it? I'm a little confused.

On the TV. There was this close-up of Baker with Hairston and words were mumbled including "Washington".

I don't like to speculate, but Dusty did have his arm around him and almost surely said "Washington". Now, perhaps they were talking about George, but I really don't see what else it could be.

Now, what the heck could we be getting from a first place team that has equal value.

I, for one, do not want to see Jerry and his .370+ OBP leave.

Brad Wilkerson would be a nice addition to this team. But I don't know why Washington would want Hairston, they don't need an OF after trading for Preston Wilson, and they already have Vidro at 2B.

This is the dumbest thing I've ever heard of. He wouldn't tell him on the field about a trade. They had to have been talking about chasing Washington in the wild card since they are blowing it down their leg to 'hotlanta.

Hairston has a .349 OBP. He hasn't been close to .370 for some time.
