It's the American way. If something goes wrong that people hate, the most common course of action is overreaction.

 

There's a tie in the All-Star game and the league has egg on its face, so what do you do? Have a stupid exhibition game where (hypothetically) an at bat between a Blue Jays pitcher and a Rockies batter could determine whether the Angels or Braves could have home field advantage.
