NO, NO, NO, NO, NO, NO, NO, NO, NO, NO, NO, NO, NO, NO, NO, NO, NO...

I know a lot of people are impatient with him, but thats no reason to send him packing. This guy is gonna be a frontline starter as soon as he firgures out how to pitch without hurting his shoulder. Hopefully he finally has, with his smoother motion. But I want to gauge the opinion of the site.

Today's outing: 7.2ip, 6h, 2r, 2er, bb, 4k and the W

Everyone who wnts to trade him will be kicking themselves when he goes to the Yankees or Red Sox and becomes Roger Clemens.

NO. TRADE. CLAUSE.

If you could trade him, or if he agreed to one.

I don't see him waiving it. Add to the fact that his is making 12 million next year and other teams know about his injury concerns. I would need a really nice package to think about letting him go and I don't see that happening.

I would listen to offers but the offer would have to be incredibly good in order for me to pull the trigger.

That being said, I still believe Kerry is overrated by many here. Everyone seems to forget he gets injured every other week due largely to his crappy mechanics and hasnt put a whole season together yet.

He hasn't put a whole season together yet? He started 33 games in 2002 and 32 in 2003. Those sound like whole seasons to me.

Ok, good point. Rephrase: He hasnt won 15 games yet we hail him as the next coming of Roger Clemens and say he is untradeable.

Yay, it only took 7 posts for that one to be used.

Yes, Wood in the national league, but its not fully his fault he doesnt have a 15-win season yet. In 2002, his ERA was 3.66 and in 2003 it was 3.20. Right now, Matt Clement has 3.85 ERA, yet he managed to get 10 wins + 2 losses, and we're just getting to the all-star break. In 2004, Randy Johnson had a 2.60 ERA with 245.2 IP, but he only got 16 wins and 14 losses because of what?? crappy run support. It's not a pitcher's fault if he gets proper run support or not!

I'm not a big fan of wins and losses of a pitcher, but I think the stuff that matters is ERA, innings pitched, WHIP etc..

who's better, a or b? A because he got 15 wins, or B, whos overall numbers are better?

Bonus if you guess who Joe Morgan would pick.

I believe he is saying that Wood was better than Zambrano, who was a runner up for the Cy Young Award last year, when he was healthy.

What I'm saying is, we cant go 10 minutes without someone posting their great, new TRADE WOOD thread, but if you say you would trade Zambrano, people flip out and go crazy.

During healthy periods (an admittedly smallish sample) Wood has been Z's equal. Due to age/contract, we could get an f-ton more for Z than we could for Wood, so who do you want to trade now?

Is that Shawn Estes vs. Kid K?

I think I'm just about fed up with the Trade Kerry posts/threads/discussion.
