Preston Wilson's main value is being able to hit home runs. He's not going to do much of that at RFK. Bowden is an idiot, though he didn't give up much to get him.

Since we are talking about Nats in this thread, I'll point out that in Rumor Central on ESPN the claim is that the Reds refuse to answer any phone calls from Bowden. Apparently, they have no desire whatsoever to help him out in any way.

 

Typical. That organization as it stands might be the NL's worst.

He better be wrong. I'd imagine this would have been the best move Bowden has made in quite a while. I would have sent him a nice card for keeping Wilson away from the Cubs.

Heard on the radio out here in DC that the deal was also off. It's the local sports guys saying it's dead, so I tend to believe it.
