It’s possible. The Bluejays were 22nd in pitching war last season and were 2 outs away from winning the World Series, the 2023 Rangers were 20th and won it all. The difference is that Both pitching had double digit war while the Cubs are sitting dead last at 3.3. 
 

You can be below average. I wish the Cubs were.

I think it's time to remove Palencia from the 2026 Cubs' equation, he's obviously not healthy/right.  Shut him down, let him get fully healthy for 2027, if he still sucks then, yes, he's Alzolay 2.0.

Hell. if they were, what, one deviation from average they'd probably have 85+ wins.
