Miller struck out 1 batter on 4 pitches and was apparently done after that. Cabrera got lit up.

Cabrera may be a lost cause for this year.  He is a liability at this point no matter where you put him.  The best we can hope for may be that they figure something out in the offseason.

I'd still take a chance on him getting hot for a bit in the post season.  Him, more so than Rea, Thornton, Rolison or Theilbar.

Supposed to do a back-to-back yesterday and today so I think that was the plan.

Putting Cabrera in that category of veteran pitchers is generous.

Interesting.  I wonder if they are fiddling with his grips to try and head off the blister issue?  Because velo and spin tend to move pretty linearly and Cabrera's velo was primo last night.
