An interesting second inning of work for Dempster here. Let's hope he can maintain his stuff.

 

That is nice thing about your closer being a converted starter, he can sometimes strecth to two innings of work.

Jon, now tell me again how slipping a guy with a .381 OBP in ahead of Ramirez is gonna statistically lower his chances to drive in more runs, eh?

Because Derrek Lee's OBP is .457.

1 every 12 ABs, yes. But what about the other 11? If you were to take HRs out of the equation, Lee's OBP is still going to be higher than Burny's.
