Game called in the 8th due to rain. Myrtle Beach won 15-0.

Southisene went 0/2 with 3 BB and a HBP.
Hartshorn went 1/2 with 4 BB and a single.
Mathis went 2/3 with a HR and 3 BB.
Lumpuy had a double (and 2 BB) and Valdez had a triple.

Not often that the top-3 guys take 10 walks plus an HBP, and reach base 14 times.  Crazy!

Bummer that Cabada didn't make it.  

I read somewhere that while Reid was very effective, his fastball was still mostly only 91-93.  Had hoped there would be some some jump, but that doesn't sound like any.

I get that it's one game and MB apparently faced little league pitching, but that has to be Mathis' best outing since the Cubs drafted him.

It does look like he still has some good weight/muscle he can add. Maybe a velo jump after muscle gain next offseason.
