You're not wrong, but is the lesson also build a great defensive line so you don't have to blitz on every third down?  Eagles got pressure with their front 4 all day.

Also, isn't the KC Guard a free agent that some have bandied about going to the Bears?  I was pretty drunk and don't remember any individual plays, but guessing he had a bad day yesterday.

Most of the pressure came off the edges but Jalen Carter was absolutely ridiculous yesterday.  I think he was also lined up opposite of Trey Smith most of the game.

Yeah Smith was at worst the 4th biggest problem in the KC OL last night.

More reason KC will try everything in their power to keep him. The O Line having issues will probably make them ask Mahomes to restructure his deal.

If the Bears cannot sign Simth, that's okay, not tying so much to player will allow them to sign multiple offensive lineman.  Probably a better approach for the Bears.

Chiefs can keep Smith and do whatever they want.

The limiting factor is probably their cheap ass owner.

cheap owners dont matter!!!!!! enlarge your mind!!!!!! teams don't get to keep the money if they're under the salary cap!!!!!!! stop thinking like this!!!!!

Well that was a weird post.

If I've understood anything about the cap from you and others, it's that CASH spending can make all the perceived CAP issues go away, or greatly diminish.

Agreed, I'd rather allocate money towards another edge rusher and draft one in 2/3.

Kind of yea. Bottom line is they've just been a "low end" spender for a while now.  Here's 2011-2022 (and last two years didnt change much)

Also a cool visualization I just saw about guarantee+dead cap commitments for each team. This is a really good high level way to view cap flexibility for all teams.  @reinhardNFL on Twitter for source image.

Yeah I really didn't like how they presented the score and crucial info. I think the purpose was to make as much of the field on screen as possible, but it ended up being less legible than a normal presentation

I thought it looked stupid. For the 3 plays I actually watched.
