I'm probably being nit picky here because I know you already included the list of people who donated the prizes but I think it would be neat to recognize those people even farther by showing who donated which prizes.

Agreed. I'd like to know who gave the Jaxx stuff, I bet he's a cool guy

I HIGHLY doubt it. O:)

Cool or not. He won't win the competition! :w00t:

This is exactly what I had hoped for with this competition, lots of trash talk! In any case, as long as I don't end up with the stuff that the Jaxx guy gave (cool guy) then it's all good.

We'll also be doing a second-half-only contest, but likely with fewer prizes (and no prize packages). At least it will allow any newbie posters who join after the season begins to get in on some contest action.

4. Number of earned runs allowed, 2005

A question on this one... you're going by earned runs of the pitching staff, and not the overall runs allowed by the team? (In other words, unearned runs due to errors don't count?) I'd just like to be sure on that point before I start making my predictions.

Correct - earned runs allowed.

It is broken down as a separate category on the MLB.com team pitching stats page for people who are interested in seeing the 2004 results.

(You can also get prior year team stats back to 2000 by replacing the "2004" in the url with the year of interest.)

Just wanted to mention this: we will have additional prizes added to the master list throughout the season (so people really should enter the contest before the deadline! :) ). A few items that still need to be added to the list include:

2003 Playoff Absolute Memorabilia Ed McCaffrey authentic game-worn jersey swatch

--very nice display item with an etched glass picture - comes in case

2004 Iowa Cubs Yearbook

2004 Iowa Cubs Media Guide

I'll work on pulling together the list of who has donated what items -- if any donators do not wish to be listed, please let me know.

Well, the lowest batting average anyone picked for Nomar was It Might Be! with .295.

Unless Nomar's able to make a comeback and jack up his batting average, that scoring category will be zeroed out.

You can add a 2003 autographed pocket schedule by Dusty Baker as well. :P

That can be a booby prize for whoever finishes dead last in the contest. :D

With the way this season is going, the person who ends up in dead last could be the person we were hoping would end up with the best score.
