Fernando Cruz went 1/4 with a single and 3 Ks in game one of DSL Cubs Red's doubleheader. He has game two off.

It's only 23 PAs but he's down to .200/.304/.250 with 2 walks (8.7%) and 8 strikeouts (34.8%).

JP Wheat’s making a pro debut, starting in the ACL. 2022 pick, had TJ maybe just after, listed 6’5” 185 hopefully more 205+

Trice has a HR and 2 BBs, scored twice

——

Pinango’s got a HR too

I did not know he was hitting 100 in the back fields:

Ballesteros added a single.   Considering the SL run environment,  what he's doing is very exciting.  OPS up to .868.  Feel like that # would actually go up if he got bumped to the PCL.

Efficient use of pitches by JP Wheat.  He managed to hit 3 batters, walk 1 batter,  strike out 1 batter, and throw a wild pitch in his 13 pitch inning.

Also, the top 7 hitters in the Cubs ACL lineup have a higher OPS than any of the 9 Guardian starters.

ACL pitch counts aren’t accurate.
