Yeah, I just saw they had some booster drive, after they fired their last coach and it generated $35 million in a week.

At halftime of the Miss State game (Jimbo’s last) the AD was handed a check for over $160MM I think it was. We’ve got the cash.

I can't tell if that was an incredible throw or one of the most successful horrible throw decisions I've ever seen.  That DB looked like an old video game character just running away from the flight of the ball.

He’s made several similar throws this year and yet like you im still not sure which it is.

Holy horsefeathers Alabama. Wanted Auburn to win but 4th and goal from the 30 and you need a TD to stay in the game and they get it. Unreal.

The postgame revelation that Bama practices that 4th-and-30 situation every week is the most on-brand Nick Saban thing of all time.

Any neutral observer should probably hope Louisville beats FSU next week. The Noles as currently constructed are a delicious meal for whoever plays them in the CFP.

So...

-Georgia, Michigan, Washington and Florida St are all in with a win.
-Oregon is probably the only 1-win team that's in with a win.
-Texas probably needs two of the undefeated teams to lose or they need one to lose and Washington to beat Oregon.
-If Bama wins they jump Georgia but you can't put Bama over a 1-loss Texas. Bama needs two of the non-Georgia teams above them to lose.
-Ohio St would need Georgia, Oklahoma St and Louisville to all win. And maybe Washington too since that would eliminate the chance of two Pac-12 teams getting in. So we'd end up with Georgia, Michigan, Washington (or Oregon) and OSU.

Playoff Committee: "Hold my beer"

I mean I guess if Texas wins like a super ugly 2 point game and Bama demolishes Georgia then maybe. But the latter result seems very unlikely.

And I don’t think Alabama has some crazy resume that puts them over the top.

My cynical side is convinced that the committee's job is not to put the four most deserving teams into the playoff, but the four schools that will get the highest ratings. Alabama is ratings gold.

And Texas wouldn’t be? It’s not like we’re debating Bama vs any non OU/Texas Big 12 team here.

I do understand the cynicism with Bama though. I think it’s more likely the committee finds a way to put them in over Oregon instead. Assuming both win, they’d both have a loss to a top-10 team, Bama would have 4 ranked wins while Oregon would only have 2. Of course the committee currently has Oregon ahead of Bama.

I f Alabama beats Georgia, I think they have a strong case to be in, objectively. There is no transitive property scenario.

Georgia is the #1 team and has been all year. The stakes of the game also matter. They will be the SEC champions.

they will have the Big10 champ (if. Michigan wins), the Pac10 champ Washington, and the SEC champ. If FSU wins they will have the ACC champ. That’s how this is supposed to work.

people can bitch and moan, but that is a reality and the way it should be even with the SEC being down. Hell, all conference football is down.

OSU, and the rest of them can cry about it.
