Conor Noland looks like he’s a 32 year pitching against high school kids.

just physically.

McGeary doesn't seem long for SB.  Maybe it's just a hot streak but honestly feels more like he's just too advanced.

Kevin Valdez seems one of a bunch (Oquendo, Santy in there) of IFA or PR pitchers who show promising arm strength early by working alot, not getting hurt, and maybe showing some power potential. They walk alot of hitters but that’s

6’4”, signed 11/21, he and Starlyn Pichardo, the only 18 YO pitcher on the ACL staffs last year IIRC, are a couple who showed some life last year at the Rk levels. Valdez moved to the ACL in season from the DSL after feasting, struck out 13 in 7

Good on him to pick up a start, can’t hurt, and holding the rotation spot would do him some good

FYI, Valdez was 20 last year in the ACL.

Ben Brown was seen smiling after that moment.

Ben Brown was every bit as good as his line said he was, especially after a shaky first. Ben Brown .v. Cole Wilcox was as good as I hoped it would be. No gun as far as I could tell.

Owen Caissie had a ball-lost-in-the-sun moment in the fourth.

Love the pitch clock.

PCA got tossed one pitch into extras for heckling the ump from the dugout

The umpire behind the plate is not long for the job. He rang a Smokies hitter up on strike 2. Later he said a Smokies hitter a HBP but got overruled by the rest of the crew. Ended up being a passed ball.
