If my math is right PCA getting on 3 of his first 4 PAs means he currently has an OBP of exactly .500

Nelly had a single and 2 more walks, also stole his 5th base, then was pulled for a PH in the 7th. Hope he didn't get hurt and it was just sparing him as the Smokies were already smoked. He has a fantastic walk rate if you just lop off the first 10 games...

Riley Thompson gave up 2 doubles, a triple, a walk and an IBB and the 3 inherited runners he left on in the 1st all scored, giving him 7 ER for the night.

And Brennen missed his second straight game.

I was looking/marveling at Julio Rodriguez's minor league track record earlier today. He was a big time prospect already thanks to his pedigree and pre-pandemic performance in Low-A, but his numbers became cartoonish last year when he started off with a .434 wOBA/162 wRC+ and 14/29 BB/K in High-A over 134 PA before moving up to AA and destroying that too.

On a completely unrelated note, first round pick Pete Crow-Armstrong in his first taste of pro ball has a .516 wOBA/210 wRC+ and 11/14 BB/K in 88 PA at Low-A. At least that's what it was prior to going 2 for 4 w/ a BB and K tonight.

I look forward to the day when PCA going 1/4 with a walk actually lowers his OBP.

Early season numbers and SSS and all that, but still. He's putting up ludicrous numbers.
