demar's season reminds me of 05 d-lee

I feel like DeRozan would have to be averaging 35 points on 60% shooting for the season to be the same as Lee in 05. But it makes sense. DeRozan has been a star caliber player most of his career. He’s shot over 50% for the season before. He’s averaged 27+ ppg before. But he’s never done both in the same year.

Disappointing result. We’ve had too many of these “get manhandled by a good team and then come back late and fall just short” games

Bulls are 3-13 against the 5 best teams in each conference. We’ll get a lot more chances to turn that around before the end of the season

Missing way too many defensive minutes on this roster. Hopefully they can get all three of Caruso, Ball and Williams back soon.

TT needed more minutes. Adams was less of a nuisance when he was on the court.

Was Ayo hurt? Had the game on in the background so wasn’t listening much to the broadcast, but he didn’t play much in the second half.

I feel like maybe Donovan felt that Coby's 3 point ability was more important in the game with Levine and DD shooting poorly and a big deficit. And honestly, Ayo wasn't stopping Morant. No one was stopping him.

Yeah for sure. I didn’t have a problem with that. Just wanted to make sure I didn’t miss a tweak or anything.

Vuc was the killer. The Bulls really need to do something about the pick and roll defense if they want to go far in the playoffs. Not sure if the return of Zo/Caruso will be enough.

I know we aren’t whole and all that but man you’d think even just occasionally we could act like we belong on the same floor as these good teams.

Hopefully we put it together in the 2nd half

Keep in mind they don’t have Lowry tonight. Ball and Caruso make a dramatic difference in our defense but it’s hard to say we’d win a game like this with them back.

Then again the defense is atrocious and from the pieces I’ve watched today they look like they’re just standing around and not moving the ball. Desperate need of defense and playmaking

Also, Zachs knee has to be bothering him. He looks like he’s really lacking explosion out there

Basically, until Lonzo and Caruso return, the Bulls can't win a game where their offense isn't clicking. They're going to give up between 110 and 120 points per game, and they need the offense to score more than that to win.

Not going to win too often with that defense.

Yep. The Bulls have been winning shootouts but that crunch time execution is not fully sustainable. DeRozan is not going to shoot 70% down the stretch of games every time. Tonight he missed 2-3 in the final minutes and while not the difference it made holding on much more difficult. When teams double DeMar or deny him the ball the Bulls offense can really struggle. Zach let’s face is not 100%. Hes not as explosive and that makes it difficult for him to get his shot off.

I know offense isn’t the problem here but like i said at firstc the bulls have been winning these shootouts against bad teams and it’s not surprising that their luck has changed a bit as the schedule gets tougher
