as an Illini fan, I expected Ayo to be a solid pro... but what he's doing this year is well-beyond what I ever expected from him. What a great situation he landed in. Getting to work with Lavine and DeRozan every day has got to be so great for him. And learning NBA defense from Caruso and Ball sure doesn't hurt either

Well the Bulls hadn’t had a player get further injured while trying to recover from another injury…until today. Derrick Jones Jr broke his right index finger while working out. Out 6-8 more weeks. The Bulls’ team surgeon is getting paid this year!

This is definitely a bottom 5 defense as currently constructed. Not getting help for 2 months. They have to make some sort of move for defensive help otherwise the next 8 weeks is going to be rough

Whenever Dosunmu isn't in the game, the on ball defense is atrocious. Fully healthy, the team typically has Lonzo and Caruso to provide good on ball defense, without them, the roster is just thin on defense.

With the Bulls moving percentage points ahead of the Heat for 1st in the East, Billy Donovan is in line to coach in the All-Star game if they can hold on for 4 more games (cutoff is after Feb 6 games). Of course with 6 teams within 2 games of 1st place, they won't have much room for error should they lose.
