Cubs need all 3 this weekend to retain the Crosstown Cup. Wisdom hit a 3 run HR in the first so the Cubs are up 3-0.

 

It was a 441 ft bomb

Seriously, after the trades on prior to August 1, what did you all expect? Their best MLB player is injured. Their other best sort of MLB player is injured. Their scary bats are guys named Schwindel and Wisdom and Ortega. They're gonna be bad the remainder of the season so accept it. Makes watching so much easier.

I mean, they scored 10 runs tonight. The pitching has been very disappointing. Almost no one showing any promise outside of Heuer and Rodriguez.

It could very easily be the 7 run lead, but Kimbrel's velocity tonight would have me nervous as hell if he was still ours
