Cubs have now scored 89 runs on the year, good enough for 4th in the NL behind Cincy, LA and Arizona.

 

 

lol. turning around that RD quickly. Might be in first tomorrow . . .

I know we are defying trends and expectations regularly over the last week but the toughest trend to break will be "win first game vs. Milwaukee, lose the next 2"

I like that our defensive minded backup CF is actually fast now. Shaw's ball would have rolled to the wall if Almost were out there still.

This hot streak feels so good because not only did the Cubs end last season on a horrific swoon offensively but they started this season on a historically bad slump as well. Feels like ages since they've looked good at the plate. Maybe this will be the offensive hot streak that doesnt turn into a horrific slump

It looks like the answer to "Why is the Cubs lineup suddenly unable to hit fastballs?" is "Because 12 games is a small sample size."
