SEC has been in ‘serious contact’ with Clemson, Ohio State, Michigan and Florida State about leaving their respective conferences to join the league. The ultimate goal? To have a true 20-team mega conference.

Hahahah ya right.

No way in hell Clemson would want to leave the cushy ACC where they can just moonwalk through most of their schedule.

Ugh. We always have to embarrass ourselves. SMH

If A&M actually had the guts to leave the SEC over this it would be petty as hell but I'd respect it. They'll end up shutting up and taking the money because no one in college sports actually has any principles.

I can’t imagine there’s much money in an ACC after all the good teams have been poached.

Same could be said of OU. Money talks. And if this is indeed the first domino towards superconferences they won’t have much choice.

That would be a dumb move for us on many levels.

That’s a fair point. With the expansion of the playoffs I don’t guess it matters as much if you lose a game or two.

Let’s be honest, SEC is getting a minimum of 3 teams in every year but probably 4.

UT & OU officially inform the Big 12 they will not renew the grant of media rights that currently extends to 2025. They're pretending they intend to honor it for CYA reasons but they'll be in the SEC by the 2023 football season, maybe even next year.

Clemson has already refuted that report.

Do we believe Clemson?

Anyways it would be funny if it were true and the SEC said sure Clemson, but no to FSU

Seems like a step in the wrong direction but whatever

They'll start putting NFL games on streaming services too. Cutting the cord to save money over cable was fun while it lasted

B1G's TV deals come up in a couple of years and I virtually guarantee they'll cook something like this up for them too.

It's already happening in the SEC, where ESPN now has the right to put a non-conference game for each school on ESPN+.

Nickel and diming people with pay streaming services while they continue to pay for the YouTube TVs of the world is the wave of the future.
