Len keeps pronouncing our pitcher’s last name as AL-zo-LIE. Weren’t announcers saying AL-zo-LAY last season?

 

Either way he looks pretty good tonight.

No one answered this, but Len was definitely saying "lie" last year. I remember because I had always assumed it was "lay".

 

In my experience Len is pretty much always on it when it comes to pronunciation - to this day he's the only broadcaster I know of that knew our 2017 trade deadline pickup was pronounced AH-vil-uh - so I'm going with him on this.
