Really should consider folding the franchise if they don't dong the face off a guy that thought these were good ideas

I don't know, I kinda like the bathroom floor tile look on his right arm.

Neifi Perez had a 75 OPS+ for the Cubs in 2005

Albert Almora is at 68 for the year.

never forget that was the year Neifi saved the Cubs.

He's hitting .500 against this pitcher

And also the alternative is Heyward.

.391/.500/.870 last 7 games

He’s actually been hitting relatively well lately

Heyward is god awful against lefties this year and had been his whole career. While Almora is equally as awful against lefties this year, he’s traditionally been better against lefties than righties.

Neither option is good, but Almora is the better one of the two today.

Yeah and with a long plane ride yesterday and in the middle of 18 straight or something it’s not the worst thing to give Heyward a day off here. Almora still horsefeathering sucks and I’d rather have Happ or Bote playing over him but is what it is at this point. Hopefully Almora is PH for if needed in a big spot (let’s just score like 12 though so it won’t matter).

horsefeathers what he's done in the past; he's been terrible at everything and hitting everyone for damn near a year.

And he wasn’t even that good vs LHP when he was good vs them and the success was still built on his garbage, unsustainable, profile of GBs and soft contact and no walks. He has no business being a MLB player for this team next year and hopefully he’s barely played the rest of the way (even vs LHP).

So on one play we have

-a terrible throw to second on a steal attempt

-neither the SS nor 2B covering on time anyway

-an overthrow back in to the infield

Lovely

Almora just missed second base from medium-depth CF by about 25 feet on an attempt to double off the runner at 2B.

Lovely

don't forget Lester with his thumb up his ass and probably whining to the ump instead of getting his worthless ass home to cover
