He also compiled those numbers pitching in Coors Jr. compounded with an injury at some point and mechanical stuff. It’s not hard to see where the bounce came from.

Did he not pitch in Texas any of those first 32 starts with the Rangers when he had a 3.00 ERA?

He did. Then he strained his oblique, came back too soon, and all that other stuff I already posted about for you happened.

So that made him bad for 50 starts?

The injury, mechanical issues and his home park all played a role in the numbers being bad. This isn’t hard you imbecile.

No, I already agreed with you. Pennant race magic is what made him good for the past year in Chicago.

Just a heads up, the Astros won the World Series 2 years ago and Maldonado was not on that team.

Right last year Boston won when 35 year old Steve Pearce won World Series MVP after getting traded there in season.

If it wasn't for the absolutely garbage Russell views (which in turn led to more garbage views), you'd almost have to be impressed at the trolling.

At first I kind of liked having his idiot thoughts to laugh at and hoped we wouldnt scare him away, but now he seems to infest every single topic to the point where he is a few days away from being a nuisance

Aaron Sanchez the last 3 months 0-13 with a 7.49 ERA, 1 start with Houston he wins and they throw a no-hitter.

...What's your argument here? That the wild card race doesn't magically inspire bad players to play better? What part of the Astros having the division locked up by June inspired Aaron Sanchez?

Needing a ton of help for the WC isn't a pennant chase.

My point is guys getting to go to legit contenders can be a spark and turn back the clock. Which is 100% a fact and happens every year despite you idiots wanting to argue otherwise. But If I said it was a horsefeathers pick up you fools would be here talking how great it is.

Except when it doesn't, which is why the argument is dumb. You might as well say the Cardinals have "pixie dust" with a straight face

That's the statement you are saying is "100% a fact"? If so...I mean, congrats man. You win.

Like, this is the problem with you using the most cherry picked stats and examples possible. There are going to be cherry picked stats and examples that prove the opposite point. It's really not productive to just go back and forth on 'well this guy turned good' 'yeah but this guy sucked' because it has nothing to do with the (likely bad) catcher we just acquired. But guess what, most people around here don't like you, based on previous conversations, so you're going to get it coming back. It was a really funny joke by abuck that turned into...whatever this is.

Lucroy doesn't have to be All-star Lucroy - he just has to be better than Taylor Davis. I don't know why his framing numbers have tanked (that seems very odd to me) but overall still a good handler of pitchers and even if he hits a little bit, he's still the best option on the table.

You’ve hit a new low with 1 game sample sizes.

I don’t doubt that players can get a spark when going from a bad team to a good team. But it’s not something you can prove, not something you can quantify or predict etc. oh and also your original post was suggesting that merely playing in the same division as the one he used to play in will cause him to play better. You are distancing yourself from that stupidity by changing the parameters of your argument.

I wasn't serious about Aaron Sanchez but it was still funny to throw 0-13 with a 7.49 ERA over May, June and July to a win in a no-hitters in your faces.
