When other teams call up guys from triple a to start against us they throw 6 shutout innings. When we do it they get shelled in the first inning

In fairness, they don't have to be AAA callups to do it, anyone who generally sucks at pitching will also get those results.

I’m no expert on the rule and my gut says obstruction but the ball went to Dierich’s left and he went right, into Rizzo

You know if Rizzo tries to avoid that successfully and Dietrich fields it and misses the tag they call Rizzo out of the base path. What a dumb rule.

What happened?

Ground ball to 2nd. Dietrich ran away from the ball to collide with Rizzo. Rizzo ruled out.

If he would’ve fielded it Rizzo would’ve had a chance to make it to 2nd. So he intentionally collided to put runner at 1st instead of runner at 2nd.

That's exactly what I though - if he's going for the ball he should have been going left; he moved straight forward into Rizzo. The telecast also showed him giving a wink to the other infielders.
