Quintana is easily one of my least favorite current Cubs. It's not even that he's terrible, because he's not; he just seems so mediocre even when he's good. It kind of boggles my mind that Fangraphs has him being so valuable for YEARS. Edited June 17, 2019 by Sammy Sofa

Yeah Q is one of those observational blind spots for me. Statistically, he's been a top 30 pitcher over his career, but watching him during his time with the Cubs, I just can't believe that to be true.

Cubs are what 2-16 with risp this series and one of those hits was the 58 mph exit velocity grounder. Glad to get some BABIP luck but this offense needs to get better

I hear you. I was never overly impressed with Quintana when he was on the White Sox and I disliked the trade when it was made. I reserved judgment hoping that he would prove me wrong, but he has been pretty much what I thought he was, if not slightly worse. He just looks like an average major league baseball pitcher.
