This is pure laziness in asking this here, but what's the current situation on Morrow?

Why does it look like everyone is wearing some kind of weird flesh mask.

PTR can't afford movie quality masks. Duh.

I think they said he’s roughly 1-2 weeks behind most guys/where he should be in a normal ST. I believe he’s playing catch and long toss but has yet to throw off a mound. They are, understandably, not pushing anything and he’s probably out for most of April.

wasnt kimbrel essentially uplayable at the end of last year? Not that about 30 percent of our bullpen is currently in the same situation

Obviously in the context of everything else it's a valid concern, but 98% of the time these are nothing but dead arm. Hell Zack Greinke has had four or five years in a row where people write eulogies for him because he's topping out at like 47 mph.

He was bad in August and playoffs but he was good in Sept/October. There are some red flags overall though, BB and HR spiked a bit, velo and stuff remained the same. I don’t want him if he’s still looking for a Jansen/Chapman deal, I’d only want him if we can work something out where it’s only 2-3 years guaranteed with options on both sides to make it shorter (player options) or longer (team/mutual options).

Only problem is, Cubs owners did not spend the entire offseason committed to claiming they don't have any money, only to then pay a reliever $20 million right at the end of it.

So what’s the over-under on the date Cishek’s arm literally falls off?

Have there ever been any studies on sidearm pitcher’s health compared to normal pitchers? If it’s better/worse for your shoulder, elbow, etc.
