Expect a short leash and plenty of Chavez action at the first sign of trouble

I really don't understand why we haven't traded for another starter. What if Monty doesn't get better? Maybe no one better than Alec Mills has cleared waivers. But I thought they should have added another starter for depth at the deadline, who, if nothing more, could be a long man in the bullpen in case of injury.

So glad we have all that young pitching knocking on the door to the majors.

We could have Gio Gonzalez. Although I think he walks as many as Chatwood.

Adbert getting hurt in and of itself, but it sucks extra hard now with all the injuries/poor performances. He would’ve gotten plenty of opportunities

Gio walks a lot of guys but he's nowhere near Chatwood.

Chatwood has walked so many guys that he could not pitch the rest of the year and would still probably lead the majors in walks. He's got 93 on the year, the second most is 74 and the third most is 70. Those two guys have thrown 36 and 27 more innings than Chatwood also.
