Anthony has been absolute dog crap with guys on base the past week or two. I think the crummy numbers (even though they're on the upswing) are really starting to get to him.

 

Except for the game tying 2 out double in the 8th earlier today

So if I’m the opposing team, I would IBB the lead off hitter each inning. Balk twice, to keep the pitch count down. Then watch the inning unfold without allowing a run. Almost guaranteed to give up 1 run or less through nine innings, no?

Fair. But his approach has definitely not been as good as normal lately. Like the first inning of this game when he swung at a pitch at eye level. He's not a guy who normally does that.
