Speaking of weak Bama wins, Boise State is about to knock Fresno State out of the Top 25.

The fact that Fresno inexplicably got respect from the committee at 9-3 while UCF was simultaneously being ignored screamed Alabama conspiracy to me. I'm a CFB tinfoil hatter though.

I actually think the Auburn loss makes it a little more likely Bama gets in. If Auburn had won, there would be a 2-loss team in the playoff so it wouldn't be as big of a deal to put another one in.

 

Will be interesting to see who they go with tomorrow. Either way we probably get a rematch from last year since I can't see them dropping Clemson after what they did today. So we'll get Georgia-OU and Bama/OSU-Clemson.

That might not have been enough style points for them to jump Bama.

Bama would just get in because they’re Bama and that’s dumb too.

I wish this could actually happen.

 

I know it's great for fans to get a true champion, but at that point you're talking about kids playing a 16-game season (Ohio St has played 12 reg season, 1 conf championship game, this would potentially add a play-in game, semifinal, and championship game) for free. That's pretty ridiculous.

I wish this could actually happen.

 

I know it's great for fans to get a true champion, but at that point you're talking about kids playing a 16-game season (Ohio St has played 12 reg season, 1 conf championship game, this would potentially add a play-in game, semifinal, and championship game) for free. That's pretty ridiculous.

 

The two teams who advance to the FCS championship generally play 15 games, and many of those players are only on partial scholarships.

Yeah the best part is their best argument is exactly the opposite of what they were arguing last year. That said I think Ohio State has a better resume even w 2 losses. Oh well I’m certainly not complaining!

I disagree with Alabama over OSU, pretty strongly, but I can see not being able to look past the Iowa loss.

 

I'll give the committee this, they've shown to not be beholden to conference agendas. 3 straight years with a team that only played 12 being in is, selfishly, a good thing for ND if they ever get good again.

The committee making a bad choice two years in a row isn't a positive.

 

Alabama did nothing to deserve to get in, even if you think they are the best team.

Rumor is Arkansas is offering Gus $50M/7yrs. I think I would rather have had Norvell and pay big for Chavis at DC.
